What I Use
What I use and why
Code Editors
I use different editors for different things
My primary editor for full development sessions, debugging, and projects that benefit from the extensive extension ecosystem.
For quick edits, config files, terminal-based editing, and when I want modal editing without the overhead of VS Code.
Development Tools
Editors, shells, and development tools I use.
For C# and Java development, I use JetBrains IDEA and Rider exclusively.
Software & Services
Browsers, cloud services, and productivity tools I rely on.
A terminal workspace with batteries included. I mainly use it for being able to pipe the current buffer into an editor like Helix, and I like the window management of it. I've tried tmux and I've used it a bit but didn't really like it that much and preferred Zellij overall. I personally really like the batteries included approach.

SvelteKit
It's convenient and free (for most use cases) and can do more than GitHub Pages and it's also cheaper (free) than a VPS.
Hetzner
Good prices and solid reputation. My go-to for anything that needs a VPS.
Browsers & Extensions
My browser choice and the essential extensions that enhance my browsing experience.
My primary browser. Feature-rich with excellent customizability.
Browser Extensions
Terminal Emulator
The terminal emulator I use across all platforms.
macOS Specific Software
Essential macOS applications that make the platform usable for my workflow.
Screenshot tool for macOS (Paid). Has annotation features, scrolling screenshots, and good polish.
Launcher for macOS (Free). Faster and more extensible than Spotlight or Alfred. Good plugin ecosystem.
Fixes macOS alt-tab. The default window switching is inefficient. AltTab brings Windows-like window switching that works better.
Per-app volume control and audio routing for macOS. macOS audio management is limited despite its reputation among musicians.
Keyboard customization for macOS. Handles key remaps and multi-layer configurations.
Video player for macOS. Fast and handles most video formats. Not available on other operating systems.
Windows Specific Software
Essential Windows applications that make the platform usable for my workflow.
Screenshot tool for Windows. Customizable. Handles screenshots, screen recording, and file sharing. Good automation features.
Productivity tools for Windows. Adds window management, keyboard shortcuts, file preview, and other features that Windows should have built-in.
